Thoughts On A Theme

I would like your thoughts on my new theme, colors and header photo. I have gotten tired of the pink and really love how the red and cream colors highlight my profile photo (also new).

But is the red text too hard to read? Any suggestions? Things you don't like or absolutely love?

Please let me know what you think.

I don't think it's difficult to read.

I do think I might be able to lend a hand with the header, though.

I think it's beautiful! The red text is hard to read, but not because of the color - I think it's the font. Maybe switch to a font that is not quite so thin? It looks gorgeous!

i think it mostly works. the yellow and red is pretty. doesn't seem hard to read. your title does seem to get lost when it sits on the yellow parts; maybe change it to make it bolder and stand out more. otherwise, great!

Beautiful! I love it. Change is nice every so often.

Brad - thanks, I can use all the help I can get!

Sue - Thanks for the input. Most of the fonts available looked very similar so I'll have to look at possibilities.

Stacey - It does get lost a bit, I know. I tried doing a little photoshopping but I need to work on it a little more and no other color looked right. Good thing I'm married to a graphic designer. Hopefully he can help me out.

Chellie - it is, isn't it? Change can be very therapeutic.

Oh Karla my instant reaction the moment it opened and before I saw this post was ' Wow Karla I love the new template!' I also LOVE the header.

I say keep it :-)

I love the colours, but I would change the text font to something less spidery looking. Those roses are so bold in their beauty, don't be afraid to let the font be bold too.

Which Blogger template are you using Karla?

Sarah - thanks very much!

Ali - I've gotten other comments about the "spidery font" but I really kind of like the font, so I'm thinking through that because I don't like any of the other fonts as well. Honestly I can't remember what template I'm using and can't find where to see that unless I go through and change the template.

Ali - found the template and it's Minima Lefty.

Minima Lefty. Thanks chick. I'll keep that in mind for future reference. I like to change my blog template from time to time. But I do wish there was more to chose from. I think you have to get into the subscription blog services for that. Or find a good template online that you can import to Blogger. I'm a techno-retard so its very slow going with me. ;)

Karla, It's all very pretty. The font you have up this morning seems easier to read than what I saw here yesterday. This is very elegant! Love the photo of you!

Aisling - thanks! I'm so glad it's better. I really did like the Courier font better, but it was harder to read than this. Can't have everything we want when working with a limited, free thing, can we? LOL

Ali - you are welcome. My husband has WordPress and I think I may have him help me set up my blog in that but it has to work around his schedule and be something relatively easy for me to navigate and work in. I'm not exactly a techno-genius myself. LOL

I loved your pink, but I understand why you needed a change. Everyone does once in awhile. I think it is a little hard to read for 45 year old eyes.~~Dee

Crystal - thanks!

Dee - I am still struggling with colors. I really love the red text and how it looks so pretty with the red flowers, but I know what you mean about it being a little hard to read. I may just have to play around with it some more.

I love it but I might be biased as red is my favorite color. :-)

Your header looks beautiful and the red and cream compliment it so nicely.
