Stuff

Just an update on some stuff.

We are working at eating healthier meals and eating out less. It's not just a matter of getting healthier, but also slimming ourselves and our expenses. I have had this cookbook on my shelf for a long time with the intention of using it and have just now opened it. What was I waiting for? It's filled with nutritious, tasty meals and easy to do meals plans. There is even a section for pre-cooking the main ingredient and using it in 4 different recipes. Everything I've made so far has been a big hit.

The rough budget is done and we now know where we stand and how much money we need to bring in each month from our business to keep ourselves from feeling squeezed or adding to our diminishing debt. That's a good thing! I'm working on ways to decrease our budget in areas that are possible, such as groceries and eating out which had gotten way out of hand.

I still love my iPhone!

Today I was looking online at some crocheted towel holders for my stove. I like to keep a hand towel on my stove handle to keep it handy for everyone. It gets changed out daily and cuts down on paper towel usage, except for when it's really necessary like after handling meat. Anyway, I saw some cheap ones on Etsy and then thought, perhaps this would be a good crochet project for me to try and figure out! I'm an amateur at crochet but I did print out several patterns to try, and I have several skeins of yarn laying around to use. No point in spending if I can challenge myself to figure it out on my own and learn something new in the process right? I hope anyway! We'll see how it goes.

So that's about it from me. I have lots keeping me busy with work-related stuff this week.

How about you?

Good for you cutting the budget. We've done that too. We cut out eating out. . . it was our entertainment. . . I'll tell ya! The bonus in the process? We're dropping a few pounds because we can control what we eat, how we cook it and how much we eat now. Much better, healthier on the checkbook and the waist-line.

Best of luck with your budgeting. . . believe me. . . it can become fun. It's a challenge to stretch the buck, but it can be done.

Blessings,

Sher

Sher - Thanks for the kudos. It's amazing how out of hand it gets on the eating out thing isn't it? Thanks!

Stacey - I'm glad you understood my title. Some days are just like that aren't they? So many things and yet no time to pull out the brain trust to get creative. LOL
