iLearn For Free And So Can You!

Did you know that iVillage.com offers free online course studies, called iLearn, every month? I've been a member of iVillage for several years and since then, I've been taking advantage of the free monthly "classes" they offer their members. As the iVillage site says, "iLearn courses are free, practical, led by expert instructors, and available around the clock to work with your schedule."

The courses are done in a learn-at-your-own-pace style but do have a deadline. meaning the lesson will only be online through a certain date. The way it works is you read through articles and instructions and then take a very short quiz at the end. There are also discussion boards for each course so you can discuss and ask questions with fellow members and the "instructors". I've done budgeting, time management, digital photography and this month I'm signing up for "Achieving Work-Life Balance", "Decorating For Real Life" and a couple of others I'm interested in. The weekly lessons are usually very short and easy to complete. Sometimes they tell you things you already know, but overall I've found the courses to be a nice refresher or even a chance to learn something new about a topic I've been intrigued by.

Learning should be a lifelong pursuit! Here's your chance to do a little more learning for free. If you are already an iVillage member, simply log in. If you're not an iVillage member there is a place to register. I don't do a lot of perusing of the iVillage sites on a regular basis, but when I do, I always find helpful information!
