I've seen these reading challenges floating around the blogosphere but have always failed to come up with a list of things I want to read, and include myself in the challenge. But this time around, I'm stepping out and joining. If you're interested in joining, check out Katrina's post at Callapidder Days for information about joining the Fall Into Reading Challenge 2007. And without further ado, here is my list. I'm not sure if I'll finish these by December 21, when the challenge ends, but it will sure be fun to try!
Non-Fiction
1. Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style - I'm in love with his new show on Bravo!
2. Three Simple Rules by Theo A Boers - this is a book about financial stewardship recommended by my pastor.
3. Healing for Damaged Emotions by David Seamands - another book recommended by my pastor. I have already started reading this book, and it's bringing a lot of insight into some of the emotional issues I've struggled with this past year.
4. The 5-Minute Face by Carmindy - What can I say? Every girl needs a little beauty in their life!
5. Romantic Home Sewing by Christina Strutt - hoping to find a project to try now that I have a sewing machine.
Fiction
1. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini - I've been told this is a MUST-READ book. Hopefully I won't be too far down the list for the library reserve.
2. Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani - recommended by one of my blog readers. I'm eager to get this one started.
3. Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky - I've started this book, another reader recommendation, but haven't finished it. So far I'm loving it!
4. Flamingo Rising by Larry Baker - I've had this book for several years and never read it yet. It's a novel about a real drive-in movie theatre in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the fictional family that lives there. The author's family really did own the featured movie theatre.
5-12. Cedar Cove Series by Debbie Macomber - There are 7 books in this series and this is the type of book I read very quickly. We'll see how far I get.

I hope Project Runway starts soon. I need something to watch when I'm not reading...
Happy Fall reading to you.
Hi, Grace, thanks for stopping by. I don't think I've been by your blog before, so it's so nice to meet you. I love your blog banner. Please come back & visit me as often as you can.
Rhoda
I've jotted down the drive-in book so that I can remember to look for it. Partly because I lived in the Tulsa area for a bit so it's "a little piece of home" I suppose.
I love Debbie Macomber books and hope you enjoy these!
A Thousand Splendid Suns is on my list as well. Happy reading!
Ellen - I love Project Runway, but Tim's new show is absolutely fabulous. It's like What Not To Wear, but with dignity and care. The episode last week was awesome - and a tear-jerker. I think it's the same title as his book - Tim Gunn's Guide To Style.
Rhoda - thanks for coming by here. I love your blog and even if I don't comment every post, I do read them all.
Elizabeth - It's the Admiral Twin that is the subject of the book. I love Tulsa, and we lived near there when our oldest daughter was a baby. Debbie Macomber is one of those authors for me similar to Lillian Jackson Braun - I'm so sad when I finish the current book, knowing I have to wait for her to write another one.
Lana - I can't wait to read A Thousand Splendid Suns - it came highly recommended by a dear friend.
I'm so glad you decided to join Fall into Reading! I've heard A Thousand Splendid Suns is a must-read as well, and it's showing up on lots of Fall into Reading lists. I'll be reading the Kite Runner this time around, since it's come so highly recommended. Enjoy your fall reading!
