Barbie awarded me with a Rockin' Girl Award today! What an honor. I secretly think she loves me for my cheesecake, but hey, if that's the kind of bribe it takes to be called Rockin', then cheesecake it is. (just kidding)
Since I've been awarded, I in turn, get to give out Rocking Girl Blogger awards to five ladies that I think absolutely have it goin' on.
First, my longtime blogging friend Rapunzel. She knows when to listen to my venting, when to give me a pep talk and when to to just chat away about girly nonsense. She has two wonderful blogs (Rapunzel's Castle and In Pursuit of My Inner Pin-up). Love you Rapunzel - YOU ROCK GIRL!
Second is another longtime online friend, Aisling at The Quiet Country House and The Quiet Country Kitchen. Aisling is one of the wisest women I know. She has an incredibly inner (and outer) beauty that makes her so wonderful to know. She is a wonderful writer whose words often transport me to another time and place and always bring me a sense of quiet wonder.
Third, is Ann V. at Holy Experience. Ann's writings are so thought-provoking and deep. On a daily basis, her blog draws me into a closer relationship with Christ and I love how she shares not just the good experiences, but the tough ones as well, because sometimes in pain is the best and deepest growth.
Fourth, I have to shout it out to my baby girl Joy - although she's not a baby girl anymore. This young lady truly is a joy to be around and she keeps me in stitches (the laughing kind, not the medical kind). I'm so glad she's a part of my family and can't wait to see all that God has in store for her life. You Rock Joy!
Last, but not least is my oldest daughter, Hope (also known as Page Turner), my budding journalist marketing genius. I love how you have blossomed this past year and am so excited to be there with you as you grow into the lovely young woman you are becoming. You Rock!
So there you have it. There are so many more ladies I could add to this list. Rock On Girls!
